Dr G Deepika is presently working as Assistant Professor and In charge, Department of Environmental Toxicology. She has got 8+ years of teaching in fields of Molecular biology and Genetics. She has completed her PhD from Osmania University in the genotypic and expression analysis in gastric Cancer. During her Post–doctoral tenure from Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, she worked on evaluation of RNA interference technology in Breast cancer models.
Her research lab presently works on Genotype and epigenetic association studies in Breast Cancer, and Interventional studies in Colon cancer in in-vitro model. She had served and is serving as Co-Investigator in two DBT sponsored Institute based projects and has published 12 papers in international and national journals along with book chapter. She has served in different roles in organizing seminars, national and international conferences. She also serves as In –charge for the Special Education Center for Mentally challenged school, present in the campus of the Institute .She is actively involved in various academic activities and outreach programs. She is a Life Member of Indian Science Congress, member of Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG),member of Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
